Themed Rooms
We've spent a whole lot of time fussing over our rooms and making them remarkable. Our guests commonly described the rooms as "cute", "quaint", "homey", "outdoorsey", and "gorgeous". We sincerely hope you cherish your stay here, as much as we cherish fussing over the rooms to make them just right. For your comfort, all our rooms are appointed with a coffee maker, microwave and mini fridge.

The Yucca Motel is steeped in the charm of the Southwest. Each of our rooms is lovingly fitted with decor relating to a theme centric to the New Mexico outdoor lifestyle. Each exciting theme tells its own story. From fishing to wildlife, and from the armed forces to oil rigs, if it's part of the New Mexico landscape, it's here somewhere.
#1 - Family MEGA Room
Three beds and plenty of elbow room - this room occupies the entire end of the motel, making for our best valued suite. Features a larger TV, wood dining table for 3-4, desk and wide natural wood kitchenette counter with mini-fridge, microwave and 12-cup coffee maker. The bathroom is roomier, too. This entire room was renovated recently. Theme: Wildlife.
Suite 2 - Oil Rigs
Tans and grays keep this room grounded. Signage and imagery related to the oil industry create a fascinating visage, while some reds and plants give it a warm feeling that will make any roughneck feel all warm and fuzzy inside. Amenities include coffee maker, mini fridge and microwave.
Suite 3 - Forest
A warm wooden foundation and green top make this room reminiscent of a forest. Amenities include Microwave, mini fridge and coffee maker. And of course, a deerskin rug.
Suite 4 - Fishing
Creams and blues give one the impression of frothy seas. The room is adorned in fishing paraphernalia and fun odds and ends some ironwork furnishings stabilize the listing seas. ** NEW BEACHWOOD WOOD FLOORING JUST INSTALLED! & New faucet. **
Suite 5 - Bear
Browns and shades of evergreen leave one with an impression of the deep forest. Various images and silhouettes of bears add charm to the room, while some plants and hardwood furniture create a serene ambiance, suitable for a nice long hibernation. Wood floors were recently installed!
Suite 6 - Elk
This is our only room with a single KING bed and this bed is special for being a real, handcrafted log bed. The Rocky Mountain theme of this room celebrates majestic ELKS. ** NEW WOOD FLOORING JUST INSTALLED!! **
Suite 7 - Deer
Beiges and pale woods give this room an earthy feeling. The peaceful deer scattered about the room gives it an air of serenity, while the woods give a sense of solidity.
Suite 8 - USA,
Armed Forces
The Old Red, White and Blue! This room practically sings the Star Spangled Banner all by itself. It honors our armed services, and has some warm lighting to tie it all together.
Suite 10 - Texas, Lone Star State
The beiges and browns of this room practically ooze "Lone Star State". Imagery of cowboys and actual artifacts give this room an absolutely unique decor. This portion of New Mexico was once part of the Republic of Texas, so it is held near and dear to the heart by many in the local area.
CABIN 12 - Glamping
Welcome to your own private cabin located in the back, more quieter part of the property but still a skip and a jump from the grassy outdoor area with pergola, BBQ & close to the fish hut. Park in your own personal CARPORT just outside your front door. Porch features 2 outdoor chairs and the indoors features a camping theme. Shower only, just like camping! Small kitchenette with a 12-cup coffee pot, countertop cookstove, and dining bar for two. A luxury you won't find on a camping trip, however: A recliner!
